Kate is a relatively new transplant to Missoula, having previously lived in Phoenix, Chicago, New Jersey and other less-Montana places. She is the beer editor at DRAFT Magazine, a national beer publication, and is a BJCP-certified beer judge. Kate loves being a beer writer because it allows her to ask pesky questions and wander into “Employees Only” areas. When she’s not in search of her next favorite beer, find her hiking, reading or trying to corral her backyard chickens.

Marry me Kate! Yer last name is too darn close to BEERnot anyhow! We gotta change that right! L0L Seriously, I read a blog of yours about romancing a nitro beer at a Brewery in Grand Rapids and it was too funny! I thought it was written by a guy! I started reading about a beer strike we had up here in Vancouver in 1978. It led me here! I quit drinking 3 years ago, but I do make a mean kombucha brew now! I am having one now. Lime and cherry flavored. Cheers….Nick
