After moving more than 20 times during his childhood, Ryan attended college in Montana and never left. (That’s what Big Sky Country will do for you.) In between snowboarding, paddleboarding, cycling, hunting, fishing, and raising two children, Ryan works with a high-end advertising company in Missoula and writes about beer. He is a BJCP-certified beer judge and the author of Montana Beer: A Guide to Breweries in Big Sky Country and the founder/creator of the Montana Brewery Passport. He enjoys a great cigar and has one of the most recognizable beards in Missoula.
